We design the system, select and procure the equipment, and manage the installation to commissioning. You sign one contract and hold one party accountable for the result.
Eneris carries the design, the equipment selection, the procurement, the filing and the project management. The physical installation is performed under contract by licensed trades affiliated with us — the same crews, project after project.
We say this openly because the alternative — implying that every trade on site is an employee — is how contractors mislead clients about capacity. What matters to you is not the employment arrangement. It is whether one party is accountable when something goes wrong, whether the crews are licensed, and whether they are the same people next time. All three are yes.
| Stage | Typical duration | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Assess | 1–2 weeks | Site visit, load and consumption review, electrical capacity check, incentive position established |
| Design | 2–4 weeks | Equipment selection, layout, loop design where applicable, fixed-price proposal |
| File | Runs in parallel | Building permit, ESA Notification of Work, net metering application, incentive pre-approval |
| Install | Scheduled to equipment lead time | Licensed trades under our contract, one project manager |
| Commission & claim | On completion | Commissioning, inspection sign-off, documentation for the incentive and the credit |
On most commercial projects the binding constraint is equipment lead time or the distribution company's connection process — not labour. A programme that does not name those two items has not been thought through.
Financing is available on qualifying projects. On commercial work the structure matters more than the rate, because the refundable federal credit arrives as cash after the in-service date — which changes what the project actually needs to carry and for how long. We will set that out alongside the proposal rather than leaving you to discover it.
Our own crews work across Ontario.
If your building is elsewhere in Canada, tell us anyway. We deliver through affiliated contractors in other provinces, and we would rather look at the project and give you an honest answer — including "not us" — than have you assume we cannot help.
The installation crews are licensed trades working under contract to us, and they are the same crews across projects. Eneris holds the contract with you and remains accountable for the work.
Yes, on qualifying projects. On commercial work we will also show you how the refundable federal credit affects what the project needs to carry, because that usually matters more than the rate.
